The same door projector can look sharp in one parking space and less defined in another. Before changing the light, check the conditions around it. The projection surface, outside lighting and lens cleanliness all influence how the design appears.
The key point: For a fair clarity check, use a clean external lens, a flat matte surface and low ambient light. Keep the door in a comparable position and make sure the lamp is seated correctly. Do not modify sealed optics to chase a different result.

Choose a suitable surface for comparison
A flat, reasonably smooth surface helps you judge the design. Gravel, grass and strongly patterned paving break up a projected image because the light lands at different heights and on different textures.
Surface colour matters too. A dark surface can make the design appear less bright, while wet or glossy ground may create reflections. Compare on the same patch of ground before assuming that one projector is weaker.
Reduce competing light
Sunlight and strong exterior lighting reduce the contrast between the image and its surroundings. Check the logo after dark or in a less brightly lit location where practical.
The aim is a realistic comparison, not an artificially dramatic photograph. If a light looks clear in person but faint on your phone, camera exposure may be influencing the image.
Clean the accessible lens gently
Dust and road residue can scatter light. With the unit cool, inspect the external lens and use a soft cloth with a cleaning method suitable for the product.
Avoid harsh solvents, abrasive pads and high-pressure water directed into the unit. If the lens is scratched, cracked or internally misted, contact us rather than attempting to polish or dismantle it.

Check the housing is correctly seated
A loose or incorrectly seated projector can point differently from its intended position. Check its fit against the product instructions and make sure the clips and surrounding trim are secure.
Door opening position and the distance to the ground also change the apparent geometry. Compare the two sides at similar positions before judging whether the artwork is distorted.
Know what can and cannot be adjusted
Do not assume the projector has an adjustable focus or that the image can be rotated internally. Only use adjustments explicitly described for the supplied product.
If the orientation seems wrong, check any left/right markings and contact us with photographs. Opening a sealed housing is not an appropriate first step.
When clarity checks become fault checks
A permanent missing section, discolouration or repeated blur across different surfaces may indicate an issue beyond viewing conditions. Record the problem on a flat surface and photograph the lens.
If the lamp is off or flickering, that is an operating issue rather than a focus issue. Give us the vehicle details and order reference so we can help with the right troubleshooting route.

Frequently asked questions
Why does my logo look broken on gravel?
The stones form an uneven surface, so different parts of the image land at different angles and distances.
Can a phone photo make the image look different?
Yes. Exposure and processing can change apparent brightness, colour and contrast.
Should I rotate the lens to straighten the logo?
Only follow adjustments stated for your exact product. Otherwise check installation and ask for advice.
