BMW F Series Dynamic Indicators Fitting Guide
Fitting Guides / BMW F Series dynamic indicators
Follow this illustrated guide to replace compatible BMW F Series mirror indicators. Check your chassis, mirror design and connector against the product listing before starting. AHC indicators are sold as a pair, are plug and play and require no coding. Fitting and removal usually involves dismantling the mirror cover and/or glass.
The mirror glass must be prised away gently, using a wide plastic trim tool behind the backing plate while supporting the glass. Never force, flex or pull the glass by its edge: glass breakage can occur. Stop if it resists and seek fitting assistance. Auto Haus Carbon is not responsible for damage caused during fitting, subject to the disclaimer below.
This guide provides general fitting guidance. Vehicle designs, fixings and fittings vary. Check compatibility before starting, work carefully and never force any component. Stop and seek fitting assistance if you are unsure or encounter resistance.
You are responsible for carrying out the installation carefully. Auto Haus Carbon is not responsible for damage caused during installation or while following this guide, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded. This does not affect your statutory rights.

How to fit BMW F Series dynamic indicators
- Prepare and protect. Park safely. Tilt the glass for access, then switch the ignition off. Protect painted edges with tape. Work on one mirror at a time and compare the new left/right units.
- Remove the glass. Support the glass and gently release its backing plate from the carrier using a wide plastic trim tool. Never force or flex the glass, as breakage can occur. Photograph and disconnect wiring as required; never let the glass hang from its wires.
- Release the mirror cap. Locate and release its retaining tabs. Support the outer cap and ease it away from the housing. If it resists, check for unreleased tabs or other fixings. Do not force the trim.
- Remove the indicator. Remove retaining screws or clips as fitted. Release the connector and lift out the original unit. Keep fixings safe and grip the plug, not the wires.
- Connect, test and secure. Connect the matching dynamic unit and test the amber sequence before reassembly. Switch off, then secure it in its original position. Check both sides sweep correctly. Do not force connectors or modify wiring.
- Reassemble and check. Refit the cap, reconnect glass wiring and seat the backing plate evenly over the carrier. Repeat on the other mirror. Check indicators, hazards, glass adjustment and folding if fitted. Confirm all clips are secure.
