Fit your matching MINI F Series carbon start-button cover using this six-step guide. This is an adhesive cover fitted over the existing toggle, with no switch removal required. Compare the cover with your existing start button and check the product's fitment information before starting.

What you need
- Microfibre cloth
- Trim-safe cleaner
- Matching carbon start-button cover with supplied adhesive
How to fit the cover
- Park and switch off. Park safely, apply the parking brake and switch the ignition off. Keep the key away from the vehicle. Keep your foot off the brake or clutch while fitting.
- Check the fit. With the adhesive liner still on, gently offer up the cover. Check its shape, orientation and clearance. Do not press the toggle or force a cover that does not fit.
- Clean and dry. Wipe the existing toggle face with trim-safe cleaner applied to a cloth. Let the surface dry completely. Keep liquids out of the switch and avoid wax, silicone and oily residue.
- Peel the backing. Remove the liner from the pre-applied adhesive. Keep the bonding surface clean and avoid touching it. Use the supplied adhesive; do not add superglue.
- Align and apply. Align the text upright and place the cover squarely over the original toggle. Apply gentle, even pressure without operating the switch.
- Check and allow to bond. Check the cover clears the surrounding guards and the toggle returns freely. Follow the adhesive's bonding instructions. Once bonded, check normal operation while safely parked. Stop if the toggle sticks.
